  Highly recommend! We fished with Cameron near Maroon Bells. Neither my friend nor I had any experience fly fishing and we both had a great time and caught 2 fish each! Cameron is extremely patient and just an all around nice guy. He brought us to a beautiful spot and is very good at teaching people how to fly fish. Ask for Cameron!

  These guys know what they’re doing and are also great with younger children. Extremely knowledgeable and all in all great guides. Would highly recommend for anyone of any level.

  Great guys! Scott was very easy to work with and set up an amazing float trip with my guide, Pierce.   Highly recommend. Fished with Cam on the Roaring Fork. Cam put us on beautiful fish right away.  Cam is an excellent guide. Highly knowledgeable and a good teacher. He also has tremendous patience. My brother in law had never fly fished before and Cam helped him catch trout in a technical part of the river.  Can’t wait to come back and fish with Cam again.

  Amazing experience and amazing guides! We had Nicky and JD for guides. We had Nicky first and had such an amazing time we ended up booking the next day as well. Both Nicky and JD are extremely knowledgeable, great teachers, friendly, caring, and truly made our experience an 11/10. Highly recommend if you are wanting to try fly fishing or even if you have been before - they are great at reading skill level and adjusting accordingly. Don’t think on this one, just book with Aspen Trout Guides. Unforgettable experience!

  We had the BEST experience!  We're a family of six (ages 12-43) and had three guides.  We had the most beautiful drive up Independence Pass to the most beautiful lake with amazing views.  Learning was smooth and we started catching fish within the first half hour.  As a bonus, a moose came to say hi!!  An experience we will never forget!!

  Our first experience fly fishing was perfect. Nicky was a total pro, full of patience, and had us on the fish all day. His knowledge is tops and anyone being guided by him will walk away a better angler. Can't wait to go again!

  Stellar experience. These guys are pros and chill in the best of ways. Cam guided us on a beautiful and relaxing afternoon fishing in the river. Perfect across the board, down to Cam's gentle and nuanced understanding of the water and the well being of the fish.

  Scott and the team at Aspen Trout Guides do an outstanding job.  I've done several outings with them and they are always friendly, flexible and very knowledgable.  They work well with any type of angler working with newcomers to help them understand the basic fundamentals of fly fishing as well as fine-tuning the skills of experienced fishermen.  I have truly enjoyed fishing with Nikki (one of their guides) .... he's very knowledgable and a great teacher

  Alex was the absolute best guide! He’s incredibly patient, knowledgeable, kind, fun and taught my 6 and 11 year old boys how to fish!! HIGHLY recommend!!

I meant to text you sooner. It’s Mark Melson. My son Jackson and I fished with Nicky on Sunday up at Blue Lake in the high country. It was an absolutely amazing day. Super hard hike, but totally worth it.

Nicky is an absolute trooper for carrying lots of gear and he’s such a nice guy. We couldn’t have asked for a better day. Jackson is 22 and had been fishing for 10 years and he said it was probably his most fun day of fishing ever.

Yes! Caught 3–2 on the nymph, one on Dry. Missed two more on Dry. Certainly wasn’t nonstop action, but a reasonable morning. Bryce continued to experiment through the morning to see what they would eat. I think he did a great job.
